The event, called the Shri Hanuman Chalisa Samashti Havan, was a homage to Lord Hanuman, one of the most important and beloved deities for all Hindus.  Hanuman Chalisa, the timeless composition of Saint Tulsidas in praise of Lord Hanuman and considered to be an ode to devotion, was chanted throughout the day by the thousands of devotees who attended the event.
