Indian Consul General visits Rameshwaram

On March 3, Chinmaya Mission Los Angeles had the privilege of hosting the Honorable K. J. Srinivasa, inaugural Consul General of the newly opened Indian consulate in Los Angeles, for a luncheon visit. Swami Ishwarananda, Brahmacharini Sandhya and several members of the CMLA board were on hand to greet the distinguished guest. Swamiji gave Sri Srinivasa a guided tour of the beautiful facilities at Rameshwaram, and the visitor had the opportunity to make an offering to the deities in the puja hall.

Sri Srinivasa was warmly invited to attend the grand Hanuman Chalisa Samashti Havan on Sept 5 as a distinguished guest, which he graciously accepted. Swami Ishwarananda also extended an offer to the Indian Consulate to use CMLA Rameshwaram as a hub for Orange County activities.

The visit concluded after prasad lunch.
